Greetings:
- Unconditional
- When something is most peculiar, I find there's a very good chance it will also be most wonderful.
- Merlin told me there are many types of magic. Isn't that curious?
- I've been looking for shapes in the clouds... It's such a peaceful way to spend the time...
- One cannot be TOO curious, so long as one is also careful.
- One ought not to do what one is told they mustn't do. Wait — is that correct? Oh, I've gone and turned myself around again!
- It's always a pleasure to see you, Player.
- The Dreamlight Library has so many wonderful picture books!
- Shall we have a tea party? I'm rather fond of tea, you know.
- Hmm...? Oh! You've caught me in the middle of a daydream.
- The flowers here don't speak or sing like the flowers in Wonderland. Unless... Perhaps they're shy.
- I feel so happy today!
- Morning
- It's a rather lovely morning, I'd say.
- Night
- It's evening already? Goodness. I don't like it when a day goes by so quickly.
- Rainy
- I suppose without rain, there wouldn't be flowers. And I do like flowers.
- Sunny
- This Valley has far more sunshine than we have at home.

Gift Responses:
- Well, this will be rather useful, won't it?
- I'm quite lucky to have a friend like you.
- You're very generous. Thank you.
- For me? Oh, thank you!
- What a lovely gift! Thank you very much.
- It's very kind of you, Player.
Hang Out Start Response:
- Why certainly. I'd be happy to accompany you.
- That sounds lovely. Which way should we go?
- All right. Hmm... I wonder what we'll discover together?
Hang Out End Response:
- What a delightful journey. Thank you.
- It was very nice spending time with you.
- Yes, let's stop. It's nearly tea time, after all.
Hang Out Cancel Response:
- Let's spend time together again soon.
- That went rather well.
- Could we adventure together again soon?

Float Text Dialogue:
- Unconditional
- Satisfying one's curiosity is the very best way to learn.
If you ask me, anyway...
- I like that whichever way I go, it always leads to something curious here.
- I try to give myself good advice — don't you?
- This place is FAR more interesting than my history lessons.
- It's my unbirthday nearly every day, you know.
- One must never be late, if one can help it.
- I try my best to stay away from trouble... but sometimes it finds me anyway. *sigh*
- My sister says I use my imagination far too much. But I don't think that's possible.
- I imagined I might meet a wizard someday. And he was rather like Merlin. How curious.
- I find the Forgotten Lands a bit frightening...
- Morning
- Oh, I do hope today is a pleasant day.
- Night
- Oh my, it's gotten to be so late! I really ought to say goodnight.
- Rainy
- Now why did it have to go and rain today? It's most inconvenient.
- Sunny
- The sun here is rather bold, isn't it?

Daily Discussions
You like books, Alice?
I suppose I do, but only if they have lots of pictures. |
Do you like books with pictures, Player? |
→ Yes, I love looking at the art.
Precisely! So do I. In fact, I often imagine that I am IN the pictures. |
*sigh* I don't think I shall ever outgrow the pleasure of picture books. |
→ I used to when I was younger.
Oh? I don't think I shall ever outgrow the pleasure of picture books.
→ I prefer words only.
How can you possibly pay attention? No, I don't ever plan on reading words-only books, if I can help it.
Why, perhaps I'll choose to make pictures for books when I grow up!
→ That sounds like a wonderful idea.
It does, doesn't it? Of course, one will need to practice drawing, I suppose.
→ Would you write them too?
Of course. I wouldn't want someone else telling me what to draw.
→ Why wait? You can start now!
I suppose you're right. Of course I'll have to find paper and paints... |
I wonder if Mister Merlin has a book that shows one how to draw. |
What are you thinking about?
Something I've thought about before... A world of my own, where everything would be nonsense. |
And nothing would be what it is. |
→ Because everything would be what it isn't, right?
Precisely! You understand. |
[continue to next line] |
→ I'm confused...
And contrariwise, what it is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would.
→ Sounds... kinda impossible?
Here, yes. But in MY world, the impossible would be probable. |
And the improbable would be most possible. |
Do you see?
→ Yes! Thank you for explaining.
You're very welcome. Oh, and Player, you'd always be welcome in my world.
→ Maybe, maybe not.
Yes! That's just how you'd answer questions in my world!
→ Not even a little.
That's all right. In my world, some things needn't ever be understood.
Do you like games, Alice?
Well, I prefer make believe, but I do like some games such as card games and chess. |
Though, I'm not overly fond of croquet. |
→ Card games?
Yes, I enjoy "Authors" and "Whist." Though I must admit... |
I enjoy building castles out of the cards, most of all. |
→ Chess?
Yes. I imagine myself as each piece. |
And then imagine what move I should make for each turn. |
→ Why don't you like croquet?
Oh, well the last time I played my opponent was a terrible cheater. |
Though I suppose I shouldn't blame the game itself. |
Who are your best friends in the Valley?
Well, since I've come back, I've tried to remember everyone and reintroduce myself to them. |
Is there someone you think I ought to speak to next? |
→ Belle – for books.
Of course. I remember Miss Belle's love for books. And she was always so helpful in finding books I might enjoy.
→ Olaf – for trivia.
player
Olaf knows all sorts of interesting facts.
I remember. And so many facts about the sun and heat. I find that rather curious, don't you?
→ Mickey – he's just a nice guy.
I do remember that. |
I'll be certain to say hello to him. |
Are you enjoying your visit to the Valley?
Hmm... I wonder where I ought to explore next...
player
You should check out...
→ ...Dazzle Beach.
player
Surf, sand, and little sea turtles.
That does sound pleasant. I should like to collect some shells.
→ ...the Frosted Heights.
player
Snow, magic, and foxes!
Oh. Well then, I suppose I ought to bundle up before I go.
→ ...the Peaceful Meadow.
player
Bunnies, fishing ponds, flowers...
That sounds lovely. I suppose it's a good place to rest, sit and imagine.
Do you have a favorite animal?
Well, I find all animals interesting. |
But I suppose my favorite animal is my cat, Dinah. |
Do you have a favorite animal in the Valley, Player? |
→ Squirrels.
They certainly are industrious. |
And those fluffy tails are quite impressive. |
→ Rabbits.
I have a particular fondness for rabbits, too.
→ Sea Turtles.
They're very shy, aren't they? |
Though, I suppose they trust you. |
→ Foxes.
Oh, I've seen those! They're rather excitable.
→ Raccoons.
They do seem to be inventive. |
And their hands are just like ours! |
→ Crocodiles.
Goodness. When I first saw them, I was frightened. The crocodiles I know from books aren't friendly at all. |
But the ones here do seem nice. |
→ Sunbirds.
Their feathers are so brightly colored. They're quite beautiful.
→ Ravens.
I find them rather mysterious. |
I don't suppose you know why a raven is like a writing desk, do you? |
→ All of them!
I understand. It is difficult to choose just one, isn't it?
Nice day today, isn't it?
I suppose it is. I haven't decided how to spend it, yet. |
I could go for a walk, or meet someone for tea... |
...or even find myself on an adventure. |
→ A walk sounds nice.
It does, doesn't it? |
Perhaps I'll do just that. |
→ I could go for tea with a friend, myself!
Well, I recommend the Beast. |
He's a bit shy but tells the most wonderful stories if you're patient and don't rush him. |
→ What kind of adventure?
I'm not sure. |
Perhaps I should follow one of the small animals and see where it leads me. |
You seem deep in thought.
I have been wondering about something... |
How do you know when it's time to grow up? |
→ I think you'll know when it's time.
I suppose you're right. No use fretting over it now.
→ Absolutely. Enjoy the moment!
That's very good advice. I shall do just that.
→ It doesn't hurt to think about the future.
Perhaps, but often, I prefer to think about imaginative things.
→ No fretting allowed!
It's not harmful to fret, you know. My sister does it all the time, and she's quite well.

Do you know the pigs who grew wings?

Well, I do know better than to say that.

Naturally.

With Remy

Remy, did you have afternoon tea when you were growing up? |

There's always the most delicious cucumber sandwiches, scones, and biscuits. |

No, we didn't have anything like that. |

But it all sounds delicious! I'm in! |

But we monsters don't do that anymore. We're all about laughs now. |

Trivia
- When Alice asks the Player if they know why a raven is like a writing desk, this is a reference to the riddle the Mad Hatter asked her in the original film.
- In-game, Alice is voiced by Hynden Walch. Originally voiced by Disney Legend Kathryn Beaumont in the 1951 animated film, Walch took over the role of Alice (alongside Beaumont's other major Disney role, Wendy Darling from Peter Pan) starting with a 2005 Disney Princess Sing-Along Songs video. Since then, Walch has portrayed Alice in multiple other modern Disney projects, including Kinect: Disneyland Adventures and Kingdom Hearts re:Coded.
