Event End: 20 May 2025

Cheshire Cat Chaos event is a limited-time event during which the Cheshire Cat causes mischief in the Valley and inside Realms. It began on May 7, 2025 at midnight local player time, and is scheduled to end on May 20, 2025.

During the event, paw prints will appear inside realms. Removing them using the Watering Can will complete Dreamlight Tasks which reward unique furniture items. Additionally, cracks will appear throughout Dreamlight Valley, and digging them using the Shovel will award a unique memory and furniture piece.

Initially the paws will appear inside the Toy Story Realm. It's been announced a second realm will need cleanup and unlock a new reward on May 11th, 2025. Then the final realm will become available to clean up on May 15th, 2025. The event includes four event specific Dreamlight duties - "Calmer of Chaos", "Clean Your Room!", "Jungle Bungles", and "More Than a Mirage".

The event does not require Cheshire Cat unlocked as a character, but does require unlocking Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Simba, Nala, Jasmine, and Aladdin in order for the event tasks to become available.

Introduction[1]

Keep your head firmly on your shoulders and your wits about as things get curious and curiouser in-game with the start of a new event: Cheshire Chaos!

From May 7th, 2025 to May 20th, 2025, keep an eye out for Cheshire Cat’s shenanigans around your Valley and select Realms*.

Of course, you can’t expect Cheshire Cat to have a pattern for his machinations (other than stripes), so you’ll need to look out for a variety of Cheshire-fied things as the event rolls out. With 4 rewards to claim, you can track your event progression through the Event Menu in a new tab.

How to Participate

During the duration of the event, keep an out for things in your Valley and Realms* that are amiss – from pink cracks in the ground to pink paw prints. You’ll need to remove a number of Cheshire Cat’s touches to claim each reward from the event. Merlin will send you some mail in-game to help; but for more hints, see below:

Starting on May 7th, 2025, ‘Cheshire Cracks’ will appear in all Biomes of the Valley. 1 will appear every 15 minutes, with a maximum of 5 being present at once. Dig them up to spawn Memory Shards; once the memory is complete, claim your reward from the Event menu tab.

The Cheshire Cat is afoot… Starting on May 7th, 2025, look out for paw prints on a Realm Door… and inside that Realm! Paw prints in the Realm will spawn every 10 minutes, with a maximum of 5 being present at once. Remove 20 with your Royal Watering Can to claim a reward from the Event menu tab.

The Cheshire Cat is at it again. Starting on May 11th, 2025, head back to the Dream Castle to fix up another Realm, and claim another reward.

One more time’s the charm! Finally, starting on May 15th, 2025, free up one last Realm from Cheshire Cat’s chaos for a fourth reward.

*Please note that you will need to have unlocked Buzz and Woody from the Toy Story Realm, Nala and Simba from the Lion King Realm, and Jasmine and Aladdin from the Aladdin Realm as Villagers to participate in all Realm activities of the Cheshire Chaos in-game event.

The Cheshire Cat is afoot...
{Player},
I believe that the Cheshire Cat has somehow defied all the rules of what we believe to be possible in the Valley. I just saw him trouncing towards the Dream Castle, saying he was going to a Realm for some playtime.
Whatever could it mean? I suggest you look into this. Who knows what chaos that curious cat could reap if he truly can visit other Realms!
Sincerely, Merlin

The Cheshire Cat is at it again.
{Player},
I just saw that most curious Cheshire Cat heading for the Dream Castle once again. When I stopped to ask him where he was going, he mentioned a Realm where one might roar. I'm not sure what he means, but I think you ought to investigate. It's hard to say what, but that cantankerous cat seems to be up to something...
Diligently yours, Merlin
