This article is a stub and is missing information. You can help Dreamlight Valley Wiki by expanding it!

Daily Discussions are conversations that can be had once a day with Villagers in the Valley. One conversation prompt at a time will randomly be offered to select whenever interacting with a Villager. Leaving the interaction and returning may cause a new topic to appear, but not all topics seem to shuffle on any given day, or are available under all circumstances (e.g. some are only available during rain, or after certain quest completions). Only one Daily Discussion can be had with each Villager per day, and the conversation prompt will disappear until the daily reset at 5:00 am local time.

Having a discussion counts towards the rotating Dreamlight Duty "Have a daily discussion.", and the Friendship Dreamlight Achievements "Have Daily Discussions!" (x1, x50, x100, x500, x1000).

It's rather pleasant to be living in an era with so many modern conveniences. Magic is useful, but pales before the wonder of indoor plumbing. Tell me, Player, what is your favorite invention? →  Airplanes. Magnificent machines! Ahh, to fly through the sky like a bird without all those itchy feathers. →  I agree with you... indoor plumbing. It's a crowd pleaser, that is certain. →  Cell phones. Yes, those little connected boxes. They do seem more useful than pigeons... And unlike owls, they rarely talk back.

Player, do you know the distinction between Dark and Light Magic? →  I do. So, you already understand the nature of magic? Very good. →  I don't. It's a simple difference, really. Light Magic is performed for others. Dark Magic is performed for yourself. Dark Magic is not necessarily evil, but is more easily turned to evil. Now tell me: Which calls to you? There's no simple answer to that. But I can say that it takes years of study. One must understand the nature of...well, nature! And how to influence it. Player, have you noticed all the hidden treasures scattered about the Village? Someone has left countless chest containing all sorts of valuable things. Vestments, furnishings, money... It's quite a mystery as to who might have left them. →  Maybe they're from before the Forgetting? That would be the most logical assumption, yes. Of course, just because something's logical doesn't mean it works that way here. →  Maybe they just... appeared there. An intriguing suggestion. Perhaps the Valley itself is trying to provide us with gifts. In any case, some of the treasures are better hidden than others. I suggest making a thorough investigation of the Valley. You never know where you might find something useful.

I have traveled extensively through time, Player. I've visited the past, and I remember a great deal of the future. →  That sounds confusing. Well, it gives me a unique perspective. Player... Now, I know you're not a wizard, but have you ever heard of a Wizards' Duel? →  Yes. Then you know how it works. My last bout with Madam Mim... well, it... it was a bit of a grudge match, you might say. We needn't be so brutal. →  No. Well, it's a classic battle of wits, where each player takes turns changing into different things. The goal is to defeat the other player's form! Since you can't change forms, we'll just say the names of what we WOULD change into. And let's stick to animals, shall we? Here, I'll start... I choose the form of a tortoise! →  Raccoon. A reasonable choice... A raccoon might be able to prey on a young tortoise. But I assure you I am an old, venerable tortoise and quite immune to your raccoon attacks. I win this duel. →  Rabbit. A rabbit? Do you intend to challenge tortoise-me to a race? Well, I know a fable that will tell you how that goes. Heh-heh. I win. →   Elephant player Elephant. Seems a bit extreme, but I suppose in a contest of brawn an elephant would win against a tortoise. Then I shall become a mouse and terrify your elephant. →   Cat. player Cat. Now, I must say, something is perplexing me, Player. Clearly, not all the laws of physics apply here in Dreamlight Valley. From the way you're able to cross between worlds, it appears space and time here are merely strong suggestions... not ironclad laws. Yet other things remain immutable. Take gravity, for instance. What goes up still invariably comes down! →  I wish it didn't. I'd love to fly. Yes, I imagine it's an intriguing possibility for you. But for now, I'm afraid you'll have to content yourself with exploring the mysteries of the Valley down here on the ground. →  It's weird. Maybe we should run some tests. Ah-ha! A fine idea indeed. Er... just don't throw anything too valuable from anywhere too high, all right? →  Maybe the laws of physics only work if we believe they do. A fascinating idea! It's amazing! I love how there's always something new to discover. Every time I go to a different part of the Village, I see something I haven't seen before. A chest. A piece of paper on the ground. Ice and snow. They come in so many shapes and textures. Hard ice. Soft flurries. Frost. Blizzards. They're all distinct. They feel different when I control them. →  What does ice feel like? Ice is sharp and clear. It's very hard... it never bends, but it can curve. I enjoy working with ice. It's precise. →  What does snow feel like? Snow is light and airy. It's made up of so many little flakes. That can make it harder to control. I'm keeping track of many parts. →  Does it feel different to create life? Yes. It's strange... it's like there's this warmth within the ice. But it's not normal warmth. It's cold warmth. And it's aware. You can probably tell... it's hard to describe.

I've learned a lot about my powers in the last year. And about the Spirits of Nature. Would you like me to tell you about any of them? →  Water. The Water Spirit is also called the Water Nokk. It takes the form of a horse and has the power of the ocean. The Nokk guards the Enchanted Forest fiercely and won't respect you unless you prove yourself worthy. →  Fire. The Fire Spirit appears as a tiny salamander who leaves a trail of fire as it runs. We call it Bruni. Its flames can be frightening, but it only makes them in times of unrest of strife. Bruni likes it when I make snowflakes that it can eat. →  Earth. The Earth Giants can be dangerous if you disturb them. They sleep most of the time, so you might mistake them for hills or mountains. But if they wake, they stomp and throw boulders. So... it's best not to wake them. →  Wind. The Wind Spirit can be a playful, gentle breeze, or a swirling vortex. Olaf named it Gale. My mother knew Gale when she was a young girl. Gale helped her save my father. And Gale guided us at many points during our journey through the Enchanted Forest.
