Summer Sizzle (previously named "End of Summer" in 2024) is a limited-time annual event during which seasonal marshmallows can be collected in the Valley, which enable players to craft camping themed furniture, meals, and complete certain Village Dreamlight tasks. It recently began on July 2 at midnight UTC, and is scheduled to end July 22, 2025. It previously ran from September 4, 2024 at midnight player-local time to on September 26, 2024 at midnight player-local time.
When it returned in 2025 it was renamed to the "Summer Sizzle" event[1].

From July 2nd – 22nd get ready to light a fire and search for specialty marshmallows around the Valley with the return of the Summer Sizzle Event!
Collect colorful marshmallows, cook up tasty treats and craft camp essentials to host the best summer bonfire! For this year’s event we’re turning up the heat and bringing you two new **interactive** craftable rewards for the summer season; a new cooking station for all your outdoor grilling needs and a matching crafting station to perfectly put your camp together.
If you missed out on this event last year or are new to the Valley – don’t worry! During the event period, you’ll be able to unlock all previous rewards such as the interactable bonfire that allows you to take photos with nearby villagers, along with complete past event duties for additional wearable items for your avatar.
- How to Participate
- Pink Marshmallows: Can be found on any of the three bushes that will appear in your Valley Plaza, which can be collected once every 30 minutes.
- Blue Marshmallows: Will begin appearing in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow and Dazzle Beach. 1-4 blue marshmallows will appear every 5 minutes with a maximum of 12 present across these biomes at once.
After collecting – bring your marshmallows to your nearest cooking station and whip up some savory snacks to be used in the various event crafting recipes OR to give to your Valley friends! If this is your first time participating in this event, you’ll find both necessary recipes in your mailbox so you can create these delicious treats.
So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to set up camp and celebrate summer in the Valley!

Original Introduction

Running from September 4th - 26th, grab your binoculars and begin your search for specialty Marshmallows in-game! To fuel your hunt, you’ll also receive two new recipes for campfire-inspired delicacies, but you’ll need to gather the ingredients first.
While you’ll find 3 bushes in your Valley Plaza sporting pink marshmallows, you’ll need to stay alert for blue marshmallows appearing in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust. Once you’ve collected a few – head over to your favorite cooking spot to create some tasty treats like S’mores to share with your friends and Valley Villagers.
These fluffy and sweet snacks aren’t just used for cooking, however! You’ll find brand new crafting recipes available to turn your marshmallows into campsite essentials, like a Bonfire Pit! This item, once placed, will allow you interact with it to take photos with your nearby Villagers – the perfect way to make an end of summer memory.
And, don’t forget to complete 2 new duties in-game by gifting and eating marshmallow-based dishes – granting you new wearables for your Avatar.[3]
