The Dark Castle is a Story Quest which is offered from Merlin immediately after completing the quest The Forgotten Relics. It takes place in the Dark Castle.

It requires passing through a series of doors by completing puzzles:

• Door 1: Collect Cardboard Crown and Cardboard Wings from Clothing Bags inside the Wardrobes on the ground floor, then wear them to pass. Alternatively Onyx Crown can be worn with either Cardboard Wings, Thorny Wings or Raven Wings.
• Door 2: Cook Night Thorn Sprout Salad using Dark Castle Lettuce, Dreamlight Salt and Thorn Sprout available on the ingredient table near the cooking station. Place in the door to pass.
• Door 3: Take a photo of the missing door space.
• Door 4: Pickup and place the torches in the slots around the circle ( Dawn Torch, Noon Torch, Dusk Torch, Night Torch). Then fish up the Dark Castle Key from the pool.

Quest Text

You've gathered up enough Forgotten Relics to cast the spell. It's time to speak to Merlin.

Within the castle you meet a very sleepy door that refuses to let you pass unless you look more like the Forgotten.

You find a disguise that does the trick and continue on your journey.

You puzzle your way past more doors, doing your best with the ingredients at hand and using a "mechanical eye."
