In addition to tracking price, tags, universe, name, etc, I was thinking it could be useful to track where in the store furniture items appear. Certain items will only appear in certain locations, and I think this information could be helpful to players, particularly those who haven't yet upgraded their Store and may be wondering why they haven't seen certain items. I haven't fully deduced yet if items will always be in *exactly* one position (e.g. the Stained Glass Lamp always seems to be in the table slot closest to the Iron Crafting table, but can it appear anywhere else on the table?), but we could at least categorize by: Table, Quad Display (half or quarter), Upstairs Left/Right (single or double wide), Upstairs Center (single or double wide). Names could perhaps use some refinement. Thoughts? - lizz, 5:03pm UTC 2022.12.22

Language for distinguishing between changed model/reskin
In this latest update, there's at least one item where the model used in the game world changed, but the thumbnail image in the Collection did not (Minimalistic Ceiling Lights - was previously more yellow, now is more white). The language I've seen used for history logs is simply "Updated appearance", but I feel like that doesn't distinguish between what was updated - the model, or the thumbnail, or both. As another example, the Carrot image changed (presumably a bug, intended to just be used for Olaf's Nose, but applied to all Carrots), but the appearance of the model didn't change. I think a ton of the Cinderella items and Mickey & Friends also had image changes, but not model reskins/updates. The only significant model change I've seen so far is Tall Potted Plant, and both the image and model was changed in that case. I propose "Updated appearance" for updated model, "Updated image" for updated thumbnail, and "Updated appearance and image" for both - but open to suggestions/feedback. :That sounds clear - it would be really good to standardize the language! There are a number of thumbnails which have been changed in-game/on the wiki but those haven't always been tracked in the changelog for the articles. There should be a full history though to attach dates if we want to go back and update articles to include it (which it makes sense that they would). -- Marblemadmax (talk) 13:31, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
Disney Item Use Issue
Hello, I noticed an edit on the wiki page for the “Curses and Hexing 101” book. I was wondering if there was an error on the use of the item?
The book shelf in the secret room when interacting with only offered the option of the “Conspicuous Book“ to be selected. The three others books (Curses and Hexing 101, The Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration, Conjure Your Cares Away) were not highlighted or available to be used in the book shelf.
:I replied to this message on my talk page as well - but copying here for visibility. I've removed the info about this book use until it's better verified! Thanks for the report -- Marblemadmax (talk) 13:32, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

I know there's a template we should use for page deletion, but is there a tag/category or template that we should use for page renaming/moving? On the https://dreamlightvalleywiki.com/Fishing Wiki page, it mentions under the Villager Companions section, "When reaching level 2 Friendship with a villager (except Ariel), they can be assigned a role."  Ursula also cannot be assigned a Role as well.  That's all, thanks!

'Unacceptable page name' when creating page

I have been attempting to create a page 'Category:Mickey and Friends' but have been unable to. I think I'm getting caught by a language filter? Nuke Kitty (talk) 01:51, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

There's something not right with that filter - thanks for flagging that. I've disabled it for now -- Marblemadmax (talk) 00:46, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

More information in the Realms pages

I don´t know if this goes here, so sorry in advance if it not.

Well, what I want to suggest is that we expand the info in the Realms pages, like describing them, adding some photos, references from the movies etc... I think it would give a better idea of how the realm is to the readers. Let Aurora nap (talk) 15:56, 9 December 2022 (UTC+01:00)

Suggestion: track furniture location within store

In addition to tracking price, tags, universe, name, etc, I was thinking it could be useful to track where in the store furniture items appear.

Template/category for page rename?

The current process I use is indicating on the discussion page, but it's sometimes not really a "discussion" item (e.g. a misnamed item), and sometimes it can get overlooked if there are a lot of edits that occur during that timeframe.
