Stone is a foraged material which can be found when mining rock nodes in all biomes. It can also be obtained by breaking Small Rocks or Big Rocks with the Pickaxe. It is sold at Kristoff's Stall.
The in-game Foraging Collection tab only lists the 
Plaza, 
Peaceful Meadow, and 
Dazzle Beach for "Where to Find It", but it can be found in all locations with Rock Spots (mining nodes).
