Time
Time in Dreamlight Valley is synced with the player's real world local time (after completing a few initial quests).
The game world will mirror the time conditions in the player's world so during the day the sun will be out, and in the evening it will be darker.[1] Some characters are not available to engage at certain times, as they may be sleeping.
Daily Resets
The following daily resets occur at specific times each day;

- ↑ In Settings, this can be changed with the Offset Time of Day slider on the Controls tab. However, this only affects visuals (e.g. daylight/nighttime) - gameplay such as character/critter/reset schedules, etc. remain synced with the player's local time.
- ↑ Scrooge's Store resets at the same time globally each day - all player's stores refresh at the same time.
- ↑ Daily Discussions reset at the same time globally each day - all characters become available for conversation at the same time.
Character Schedules
- Schedule times have been community sourced and may not be accurate & subject to change[1]
Characters follow regular schedules, and most will spend time each day eating at Chez Remy (where they can be served Meals for money and Friendship (Remy cannot eat because he works there)) and also sleeping (when they'll be unavailable).
Between the hours 12 pm (noon) until 5 pm no character will sleep and they can all be found and spoken to.
