Spoilers on Quest Items

Hello! I saw you re-spoilered some quest items which I'd removed spoiler tags for, specifically a few in the potato quests. I think we should phase out use of spoilers on these pages and I'd removed the ones I did because there's so little info otherwise in these articles, and they are only really linked to from the quest pages - if someone finds themselves on a quest item article it's because they're looking for some very specific info. Also - the spoiler table doesn't collapse for mobile users (which are more then 1/2 of visitors), but section headers do automatically. So their user flow is to click 'Use' anyway to toggle the info - but then they see 'spoiler' listed over and over for info that isn't actually spoilered. The template was never designed for quest pages to be used like this. I just wanted to discuss with you before rolling back edits/cleaning any of it up! -- Marblemadmax (talk) 19:17, 19 June 2023 (UTC)

Sorry about that. We put spoilers on quests so it wasn't clear what the best practices are for spoilers on the same info on quest items. But that's a good point and I will remove the spoiler tags. If you see any formatting inconsistencies like that and want to put them on the admin noticeboard or w/e, I can follow what the decision is.
No need to apologize - none of this reasoning is listed as a policy anywhere and there were a bunch of articles using the spoilers already. Really appreciate your working to make the formatting consistent, and in this case it wasn't clear at all a standard layout -- Marblemadmax (talk) 01:53, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

Quest Template inside article text

Hello again! I see you've been replacing the links to articles inside the article text with the quest template (that includes the icon).I wanted to ask your reasoning for these changes, I don't think there's any other instances where the inline icon templates are used inside the article text, so I'm wondering why you decided to make this change.

In my opinion it's a bit clunky, and doesn't match the standard of not including other icons in article text links (like items, universes and categories). -- Marblemadmax (talk) 14:08, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

The quest template is used inconsistently across the wiki and was already used in some article texts before I started adding them. In terms of their current use:
Infoboxes - Most pages used the quest template, but a few did not. I have been adding the template to infoboxes that I noticed were missing them and unless there are issues I will continue making that correction.
Tables, bullets, lists, and footnotes - Same with infoboxes, absent objections I will continue to use the quest template for these consistent with how they are used in most articles.
Article text - The quest template was already used in some articles and I have been adding them to the rest because I think they improve readability by highlighting the quest related-information in the article which imo is the first thing that most people look for (like when they're looking at a quest item, crafting recipe, or furniture, they'll want to know how to unlock it through the quest first, and the template highlights that information). It's the same use as the star coin and moonstone icons on the furniture pages to highlight the price of items or the energy icon on the activites pages. But since there's no consensus on this I'll refrain from adding the template to article text.
The quest page and navbox- These pages have never used the quest template.
