Strategy

Should we rank opponents? Merlin, Rapunzel, and EVE are great pieces for the CPU. Flynn is a terrible piece. Forky seems bad for the CPU too. CPU also generally uses charge pieces (or any piece with multiple moves like Remy/Lumiere?Cogsworth/Anna) decently. Sometimes additional movement pieces (Rafiki/WALL-E/Fairy Godmother) can give CPU some surprise wins when paired with Merlin/Rapunzel. I propose a 5 star ranking for difficulty of opponenets:

  • 1 star: Goofy, probably Gaston too
  • 2 star: Mickey (who just has starter pieces)
  • 3 star: Donald (has EVE).
  • 4 star: Scrooge (has Merlin), Anna (Rapunzel/Gaston, CPU avoids using Flynn)
  • 5 star: Vanellope and Eric (Merin + Rapunzel)

Generally on the wiki we try to avoid introducing subjectivity or custom metrics that are not sourced from the game whenever we can avoid it. Providing ranks might cause confusion to users referencing the wiki that may think they are somehow official information from the game that cannot be seen. However, it may be appropriate to provide some more general high-level guidance, such as "A common strategy to level up is X. Beginner players with a limited number of figurines at their disposal may find it easier to beat Villagers Goofy and Mickey, whereas Vanellope and Prince Eric are more challenging and may require both gameplay practice and advanced pieces." I personally haven't played Scramblecoin, so I'm just making up sample language on the fly, trying to provide an example of the level of detail that may be considered helpful and informative without being overly biased.
