storeSlot Conventions

Add the storeSlot param beneath the |from=Scrooge's Store param.

When using the storeSlot param, use the following conventions:

quad display:

  • quad FL - front left item (closest to door)
  • quad FR - front right item
  • quad BL - back left item
  • quad BR - back right item

(all relative to viewpoint from entering the store)

tabletop items:

  • table 1 - table slot closest to the iron crafting table
  • table 2
  • table 3
  • table 4 - table slot closet to the front of store

upstairs items:

  • up L1 - upstairs left display, taking 1/2 of space, on left (when facing) (closer to door)
  • up L2 - upstairs left display, taking 1/2 of space, on right (when facing)
  • up L3 - upstairs left display, taking full space
  • up M1 - upstairs center display, taking 1/2 of space, on left
  • up M2 - upstairs center display, taking 1/2 of space, on right
  • up M3 - upstairs center display, taking full space
  • up R1 - upstairs center display, taking 1/2 of space, on left (when facing)
  • up R2 - upstairs center display, taking 1/2 of space, on right (when facing) (closer to door)
  • up R3 - upstairs center display, taking full space

Note that these names were chosen (i.e. prefixing with "up", choosing "M_" instead of "C") because when alphabetized, they are essentially grouped in the order that they appear in the store. Lizz (talk) 19:35, 8 February 2023 (UTC)

storeSlot Notes

I think I've already named most of the table items.

I haven't *quite* worked out the logic (if there is any) for when only 2 items appear on the quad display. I think items will stay on the front/back side, but move to the FL/BR corner...?

I also swear I've seen a select few quad items have different positions on the quad display, but I could be mistaken... but for the most part, items seem to appear on the quad in the same locations.

I'm not quite sure about the logic of upstairs items/how to describe it yet (or deal with it in the template), so I've mostly been holding off on adding those parameters. For some items, they don't seem to have a particular location, they're just either half- or whole- width, and can display on either side (e.g. Mahogany Table, I think I've seen in R1, L3, and L2). But other things seem to only have one side, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Lizz (talk) 19:35, 8 February 2023 (UTC)

Still haven't fully confirmed upstairs items, but I think that there are a few categorizations - items that are M1/M2/M3, L1/L3, L2/L3/R1, L2/R1/R3, L3, R3, R1/R2/R3, or R2/R3. Not sure what to name these as concisely-named categories, so they just have friendly short (but not super accurate) text descriptions in the infobox currently. Order of Information

I moved size/placement last because someone looking for info on ingredients will probably find that the least important. I think the infobox should be ordered by importance, which it mostly did other than size.

I might have missed something that's causing an extra line to appear in some of the rows.

I appreciate you trying to organize this! I'm going to roll back these edits though - for complicated templates it's good to test changes in a sandbox before deploying to the entire site because to avoid the extra line thing, that looks broken and I'd have to take some time to find out where. I also don't actually agree with your reordering, specifically putting 'size' below 'from' (source) (which I believe is the most important info, and having it nested at the bottom of the box makes it most visible). I do agree it makes sense to reorder parameters so 'size' and 'environment' are together (since they're both placement info), but I think otherwise this needs a bit more discussion before updating -- Marblemadmax (talk) 22:23, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

Size param formatting needs adjustment for 2-digit numbers

The current formatting is letter-spacing: 5px, which looks fine for the majority of cases where the value looks like AxB, but when it's a double-digit number it looks wonky. It's not a whole lot that I've encountered thus far (but admittedly I haven't looked at many outdoors objects...), but Kristoff's Sled, Swimming Pool, Lion-Patterned Rug, Homey Rug, are the examples I can think of off the top of my head.
