The Pre-Release Community Challenge was a limited time event. It was announced on August 4, 2022 and ended on September 2, 2022 when the last milestone was reached.

"[I]n addition to the official countdown to early access launch day, we're kicking off a Community Challenge!

So, what is this exactly? Simply put, with your help, we'll commit to adding certain in-game items and game features as the Community unlocks them by following and wishlisting the game on ALL available platforms. While Disney Dreamlight Valley will regularly receive updates that will feature new items and game features for Valley villagers to enjoy, the inclusion of the unlockable additions from player participation in this campaign will be solely thanks to YOU! Keep in mind that we're currently focused on making the game's core components as magical as possible, and these new items, once realized, will be included later in the Early Access period and after the game officially launches in free-to-play.

Here's a sneak peek at the challenge rewards you'll be able to unlock by following and wishlisting Disney Dreamlight Valley:

- 5k Discord Followers: We’ll create and gift an extraordinary Hero’s Armor Clothing Set to all players.
- 35k Instagram + Twitter followers collectively: We’ll create and gift an iconic Disney Dreamlight Valley Partner’s Statue to all players.
- 150k total wishlists across all platforms: We’ll work with you, our Community, to create a new Community Designed Animal Companion.
- 200k total wishlists across all platforms: We’ll add a variety of Villager Skins so you can dress up your Valley Villagers.
- 250k total wishlists across all platforms: We’ll add the ability to visit your friend’s Valley’s with Multiplayer Valley Visits."
