Halloween Event is a limited-time annual event during which candy buckets spawn in the Plaza, which enables players to complete certain Village Dreamlight tasks. It most recently started on October 24, 2023 and ended on November 1, 2023. It also ran from October 24, 2022 to November 1, 2022.

Green, Orange, and Purple candy buckets are intended to spawn in the Plaza once daily in the days leading up to Halloween (October 31), and each can be Opened to yield between 1-3 Green Candy, Red Candy, and Purple Candy, respectively. Gameloft confirmed that a bug prevented Red Candy from spawning for the 2023 Halloween event, and players were compensated with 40 Red Candy via in-game mail on October 26, 2023. On October 31, candy buckets spawned multiple times per day - including orange buckets.

Halloween Day

• On October 31, all Villagers have the same 3 Favorite Things of the Day: Red Candy, Green Candy, and Purple Candy.
• Candy buckets spawn multiple times per day, rather than just once. Additionally, this was the only day that Orange buckets (which provided Red Candy) spawned correctly.

Village Tasks

There are a set of event-specific tasks tracked under the Village section of the Dreamlight Menu. These tasks are always visible, even when the event is not active. Most can be completed at any time; the duties that depend on limited-time items are indicated with italics.
