Halloween Event is a limited-time annual event during which candy buckets spawn in the Plaza, which enables players to complete certain Village Dreamlight tasks. It most recently started on October 24, 2023 and ended on November 1, 2023. It also ran from October 24, 2022 to November 1, 2022.

Green, Orange, and Purple candy buckets are intended to spawn in the Plaza once daily in the days leading up to Halloween (October 31), and each can be Opened to yield between 1-3 Green Candy, Red Candy, and Purple Candy, respectively. Gameloft confirmed that a bug prevented Red Candy from spawning for the 2023 Halloween event, and players were compensated with 40 Red Candy via in-game mail on October 26, 2023.
