Flying Gear is a quest item which is collected during the story quest The Spark of Imagination.

There are three which can be collected at different points during the quest (for a total of 6), and they can be crafted with a Question Mark at a Timebending Table to create a Question Mark Wheel, enabling movement of puzzle platforms.
