Information
Costs: Mist

Ancient Machines are a type of Timebending craftable furniture that can be used to assist with and automate tasks. They use Mist to function. More efficient Machines can be crafted as the Hourglass is upgraded.

They can be crafted and collected using a Timebending Table. They are tracked in the Eternity Isle Timebending Collection.

They can be positioned and placed using the Furniture menu inside the Inventory. Once one is placed in the world, the Player can Use with the object, and then a window will appear to select additional details about the task, depending on the type of Machine.

Ancient Machines are used to automate activities - e.g. Gardening, Foraging, and Cooking - and to provide a method of mass production and collection in exchange for Mist.

Additional Machine-Specific Notes

Ancient Cookers

  • TBA

Ancient Gardeners

  • Ancient Gardeners will automatically dig holes and yield digging artifacts appropriate to the Biome (e.g. Soil), but will not exhaust any uses of Miracle Shovel Varnish Bonus, if currently active.
  • In order to change the seed type that a Gardener is utilizing, the Player must have it in their Inventory. However, to subsequently replant the Gardening Spots with the same type of seed, the Gardener will pull from Storage.

Ancient Vacuums

  • Ancient Vacuums will only collect items within the same region (or Biome, when in Dreamlight Valley) and on the same elevation. Some regions (for example, The Promenade) have multiple elevations, so in order to collect all resources in that region, one Vacuum must be placed on each elevation. The current region is indicated in the upper right corner when checking the Vacuum, but the elevation is not.

History

  • "A Rift In Time" (Act 1): Added
  • 1.9: Vacuums no longer indicate current area in upper right corner of UI. Bugs introduced: "Collect All" button removed from Vacuums. Mist cost indicator removed from Vacuums.
