Soil is a foraged material which can be found digging the ground in any biome.

It can also be crafted using 1 Rich Soil, which will produce 5, or by using the Shovel to break Small or Large Rubble in Ancient's Landing. Once collected it will be added to both the Dreamlight Valley Foraging Collection and Dreamlight Valley Crafting Collection.

Foraged items can be placed in the world by highlighting them inside the Inventory window and selecting Drop. After it has been removed from inventory, it can be positioned using furniture placement mode.
