The Mysterious Golden Potato is a quest item which could be collected after redeeming a code which was hidden in a screenshot shared by the developers via social media. Since update 5, the potato can found by interacting with the vault inside Scrooge's Store.

Finding the Mysterious Golden Potato begins the hidden Golden Potato Quest. It is the first of six hidden potatoes introduced into the game between updates 1.1 to 1.5.

Found by interacting with the vault inside Scrooge's Store

Use

Transform the into the Golden Carrot by placing it on the diamond-shaped Transfiguration Stone on the table across from the soil mounds on the second level in the Mystical Cave.

Code Distribution

Redemption Code - GPOT-OATO-LDFS-ENNM (Retired)

The Mysterious Golden Potato could originally only be collected from the mailbox after redeeming a code in the settings menu. This code was retired in Update 5 as the potato was added into the game in Scrooge's Store.

The code was shared hidden inside a screenshot shared in the official discord game news channel by the developers on October 24, 2022. The code is very faintly written on the top of the bench in the image - and is quite easy to miss.

The developers gave a hint to the discord server moderators about the code and they managed to find and solve it. It wasn't discovered/shared by the rest of players in the discord until November 24, 2022 - a month after the image had been shared.
