Rainbow Fox is a companion found in the Dark Castle, which is unlocked during the quest The Dark Castle.

To unlock the Rainbow Fox place a Rainbow Potion inside it. This will activate a short cutscene and the fox will transform from a statue.

This companion has an animated rainbow effect which continually moves over it.

Unlocking

To unlock this companion requires completing a series of hidden quests throughout the valley centered around colored potatoes. All biomes in the valley will need to be unlocked to complete this group of quests. The required hidden quests are;

• Golden Potato Quest (rewards Gleaming Gold Potion)
• Red Potato Quest (rewards Raging Red Potion)
• Orange Potato Quest (rewards Electrifying Orange Potion)
• Blue Potato Quest (rewards Brilliant Blue Potion)
• Purple Potato Quest (rewards Royal Purple Potion)
• Green Potato Quest (rewards Crystalline Green Potion)

After completing these quests, the colored potions can be combined into a Rainbow Potion. During or after completing the later-game story quest The Dark Castle, the player is able to enter a portal in the Plaza which leads to the Dark Castle. Inside the first room of the castle a small gray stone statue of a fox can be found among the debris. When interacted with, there is a space to insert an item. Place the Rainbow Potion inside and a short cutscene will play of the Rainbow Fox being transformed from stone. After the cutscene, it will be added as a companion.
