Rainbow Potion is a secret quest item which is can be crafted after collecting all six colors of potatoes and refining them into potions.

Acquisition

It can be crafted after a group of colored potions has been collected. Collecting each potion requires completing a hidden quest centered around a colored potato. The required hidden quests are;

Golden Potato Quest (rewards Gleaming Gold Potion)
Red Potato Quest (rewards Raging Red Potion)
Orange Potato Quest (rewards Electrifying Orange Potion)
Blue Potato Quest (rewards Brilliant Blue Potion)
Purple Potato Quest (rewards Royal Purple Potion)
Green Potato Quest (rewards Crystalline Green Potion)

After completing these quests, the colored potions can be combined into a Rainbow Potion.

Use

The Dark Castle (during or after) - Place inside the small fox statue found to the right of the bottom staircase inside in the Dark Castle to unlock the Rainbow Fox companion.

During or after completing the later-game story quest The Dark Castle, the player is able to enter a portal in the Plaza which leads to the Dark Castle. Inside the first room of the castle a small gray stone statue of a fox can be found among the debris. When interacted with, there is a space to insert an item. Place the Rainbow Potion inside and a short cutscene will play of the Rainbow Fox being transformed from stone. After the cutscene, it will be added as a companion.
