The Dark Castle is a Location accessed through a portal during the quest The Dark Castle. Is a darker version of the Dream Castle, with dark vines obstructing the stairs, shattered pillars, and other rubble strewn about.
It has also a map, hinting about new biomes coming to the valley.
After completing the quest the portal can be re-entered. The Castle is the home of the Forgotten, and it's where the player encounters the Forgotten during the quest The Dark Castle. There is a small fox statue found inside the castle's first room on the right side, where there is a bed and a wardrobe, that can be given the Rainbow Potion to unlock the Rainbow Fox companion.
After completing the quest The Dark Castle and facing the Forgotten, a portal opens. The quest The Remembered then starts, and the player must follow the Forgotten through the portal to what appears to be an endlessly black region with a watery bottom.
