Donald Duck is a character from the classic Disney cartoon shorts. He is unlocked after completing the quest Lost in the Dark Grove from Kristoff in the Forest of Valor.

He lives in a boat-home which is encountered floating on the water after unlocking Dazzle Beach. Once unlocked, he will be added to the Dreamlight Valley Characters Collection.

Unlocking

Donald Duck is unlocked during the quest Lost in the Dark Grove which begins by finding Kristoff in the Forest of Valor standing near a strange portal. Speak to him and he will explain that Donald travelled inside the portal and they have been separated. Enter the portal and pickup a feather on the ground, go back and show it to Kristoff.

Next, show Merlin the feather and he will have you collect some materials for a tracking spell - 2 Emeralds, 1 Plant from the Dark Grove (inside the portal), and 4 Dream Shards. Bring the materials back to Merlin for him to enchant Donald's Feather.

Return with the Enchanted Feather to the portal to re-enter the Dark Grove, and the feather will float a path through the mist. Follow it to find Donald Duck, who awards the Orb of Courage. A portal will open back to the Valley, and after passing through it and placing the orb inside the Pillar beside it will summon him to the Valley.

Donald Duck lives in a houseboat called the "S.S. Miss Daisy" (named after Daisy Duck) found off the shore in Dazzle Beach. It is initally found on the south side of the beach, and is repaired during the quest A House Fit for a Duck.
