Removing Softwood is a foraged material which can be found on the ground near trees in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, and Ancient's Landing.
There are exactly 15 Softwood found in the Plaza, 15 in the Peaceful Meadow, 10 in the Forest of Valor, and 10 in the Glade of Trust, and 5 found in each area of Ancient's Landing, for a total of 20 placements there. It also has a chance to be sold at Kristoff's Stall. A short time after one is picked, another will spawn in a 2x2 space near a tree in the same biome. Once collected it will be added to the Dreamlight Valley Foraging Collection.
Foraged items can be placed in the world by highlighting them inside the Inventory window and selecting Drop. After it has been removed from inventory, it can be positioned using furniture placement mode.
