Hello! I noticed the game has started to include more animated, interactive items and I was wondering since there are more "Questionable Function" Items that might be difficult to categorize or do not fall under the any of the current "Functions" Tags if it would be better to make a note on the item's page of their attributes/characteristics or to just continue making a note of them down below? Identified "Questionable Function" Items

These are items that don't currently neatly fit into one of the identified function values.

  •   "it's a small world" Pillar - Plays music. Face, sand dial, and rotary spin in place. Music and animation can be toggled on and off using interaction label: Interact
  •   "it's a small world" Rainbow Pillar - Plays music. Face, sand dial, and rotary spin in place. Music and animation can be toggled on and off using interaction label: Interact
  •   Blossoming Cherry Tree - Petals falling animation. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Corona Clock - Plays sound effects. Clock functionality (hourly chime) awaiting verification. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Cycloptic Monster Door - Eye will move and sometimes follow the player while they are moving.
  •   Custom Signpost - Player can Interact to change displayed icon on the sign.
  •   Cozy Companion Home - Player can Interact to select up to 4 unlocked Companions to house.
  •   Dreamlight Magic Arcade - Player can Interact to turn device on and off. Animation and Sound is played.
  •   Enchanted Stone Bench - Glittering/Sparkling animation. Has Sit function.
  •   Festive Windows - Snowflake falling animation. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Gilded Golden Popcorn Machine‎‎ - Plays sound effect. Gears turn and popcorn pops. Can be interacted with to turn off and on.
  •   Gothic Castle Window - Flying bats animation. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Large Aquarium - Bubbles animation. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Magic Mirror (On the Wall) - Flame animation. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Mao Kun Map Table - Circles on the scroll rotate, candle flame flickers, has a dial/gear turning sound. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Metal Grate - Metal footsteps can be heard while walking over this item. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Permafrost Cloud - Snowing animation. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Robotic Researcher's Desk - Spinning Baymax animation. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Scary Surprise Boxes - Item can be Interacted with to cause a jack-in-the-box animation.
  •   Snowy Festive Window - Snowflake falling animation. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   The Beast's Enchanted Rose - Sparkling & rose petal falling animation. Cannot be interacted with.
  •   Vintage Starlight Projector - Plays sound effect. Light animation directly above machine. Can be interacted with to turn off and on.
  •   Vitascope - Plays sound effects, produces light. Light/sound can be toggled on and off using interaction label: Interact
  •   Waterfall - Plays sound effects, has water animation. Cannot be interacted with. Did this have water sound/animation prior to Update 4, or added with Fountains?
  •   Stone Jacuzzi - Steam/Waterfall animation. Water sound effect. Cannot be interacted with.

Identified "Questionable Function" Clothing Items

Identified "Questionable Function" House Dream Styles

  • Purple Cottage - Has 2 functioning entrances(Front Door & Back Door). If entered through Front Door, when exiting House, Player will exit through the front. If entered through Back Door, when exiting House, Player will exit through the back.
  • Karl's House - Has 2 functioning entrances and a floating idle animation.

Possible Villager Interest Items

It is currently assumed that it does not matter which Biome the item is placed in. When submitting data, ensure that the item is distanced from other potential items of interest - preferably the sole item in the middle of empty space.
