Jack Skellington is a character from the film The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). He is unlocked after completing the quest Something Comes A'Knocking.

His home is a tall spooky house. Once unlocked, he will be added to the Dreamlight Valley Characters Collection.

Unlocking

He can be unlocked by completing the quest Miracles Take Time which unlocks the The Fairy Godmother. After completing that quest a tree with a pumpkin carved in it will appear in the Forgotten Lands. Once the tree appears, 4 Matryoshka Dolls will spawn randomly around the Valley. Upon collecting the first doll the quest Something Comes A'Knocking will begin.

During the quest Jack Skellington's House must be constructed for 5,000, as soon as the construction is complete Jack Skellington will move to the Valley.

How's the Halloween business going?

Player, I've been ruminating on our traditional Halloween themes... Scary skeletons, Jack-o'-lanterns. Tell me -- do you have a favorite? →  Witches. Marvelous! Witches have such flexibility -- they can be creepy cacklers with a cauldron... player Or ominous silhouettes in front of the moon! Exactly! Witches can fit into any Halloween motif. Why, they're practically indispensable. →  Skeletons. How delightful! Or are you flattering me? You don't need to do that, you know. But I do love a good bone rattle. And no one can grin like a skeleton can! →  Creepy clowns. They are very popular! I surmise it's the exaggerated human characteristics. You assume a clown is going to be silly and funny... But then – oh no! It doesn't have a face!

What's it like being a skeleton person?

Player, I've been recently counting my blessings – it's something Minnie recommended as a way to start each day. And today, I thought about how terribly fun it is to be a skeleton! I can hardly count the things I like about it. →  You can take off your head! Yes! Very useful for a quick fright. Or to be sure the back of my skull is properly polished. →  You're so scary! Why thank you! That is my most cultivated skill. →  You're so agile! I am! Part of it is practice, but part of it comes from being so light. Luckily, I don't bear the burden of muscles or organs.

PLAYER, tell me... Have you ever felt yourself wearily stuck in the same routine? Where everything seems dull and repetitive? What do you do? →  I change things up! Of course! Sometimes you need something new, don't you? To give novel ideas and a fresh perspective! Though... ah... it is good to be prudent about what new things you take on. →  I focus on what I like in my routine. That's wise. Sally would say that as well. One mustn't forget the value of all we already have in our life. Or in our undeath! →  That's never happened to me. Really? How content you must be.

You seem preoccupied.

Player, I'm sure you've heard that I once tried my hand at running Christmas. Alas, it was quite the disaster. I made so many mistakes, but I'm wondering if there was one fundamental flaw... A central confusion. A care to all the calamity. →  Maybe you didn't really understand Christmas. I think you're right. But oh how I wanted to! Oh how I tried to! My longing was so intense that I convinced myself I understood it. Yes. I believe that was the root of my foolishness. →  Maybe you let your excitement run away from you. I certainly did. Enthusiasm is quite powerful. And usually it's good! It animates my frights! Keeps me inspired. But it can sometimes... have a life of its own. →  I don't know enough to say.
