Motifs
Motifs are pre-made design patches that can be used to customize certain clothing and furniture items using the Touch of Magic tool.
They are collected by opening Yellow Loot Bags, which can be obtained by feeding Critters their favorite foods. Motifs can also be unlocked and purchased during Star Path Events, and are rewarded for reaching certain Characters' Friendship levels or during certain Quests. At this time, they cannot be purchased with Star Coins.
Motifs can be applied to items when in the 
Touch of Magic tool. They can be applied as layers, and more than one Motif can be added as a layered image. The order of the layers can be changed after placement by clicking and dragging (holding the A button and dragging up and down on the controller).
Motif names are never displayed within the game. File names of Motifs have been assigned for the purposes of this wiki. With the exception of the initial 90 Motifs that are unlocked by default, item order will vary from player to player, as Motifs will be listed in the order in which they were unlocked. There is no Collection for Motifs.
Customizing Motifs
Motifs that have a paintbrush symbol beside the image can have the color of that motif image changed when added to a Touch of Magic item.
