The Crown or the Claw is a Friendship Quest available from The Beast.

It's available after reaching Friendship level 7 with The Beast, unlocking Mother Gothel, and clearing the way to Sunlit Plateau and the Glade of Trust.

Quest Text

Beast is... upset? Again?!

Mother Gothel seems to have upset Belle and Beast is in a fury!

Beast tried to defend Belle's honor, but was instead taken down a peg by Mother Gothel's acid tongue. Maybe something can be done once he calms down a little...

Beast is calm now, but feels ashamed at having lost his temper and having trashed the furniture in his castle.

You helped Beast fix up the damage he did to his furniture, but you need to make sure that Mother Gothel doesn't tangle with Belle ever again.

Merlin has suggested a solution -- a Mirror of True Seeing that will show the viewer the true contents of their heart.

The mirror is crafted, so it's time to leave it by Mother Gothel's home so she can see villainy in her heart.

The mirror is in place! Hopefully Mother Gothel will reconsider her actions after peering within...

Objectives

• Pick up the broken pieces of furniture in Beast's castle. (5)
• Gather what's needed to repair Beast's furniture.

• Repair the furniture at a Crafting Station.

• Give the repaired furniture to Beast.
• Talk to Merlin.
• Gather materials for the Mirror of True Seeing:

• Craft the Mirror of True Seeing.
• Place the mirror by the entrance of the Giant Willow Tree.
• Talk to Mother Gothel.
• Return to Beast.
