Scrooge McDuck needs your help with something in the Valley...

He claims he saw a ghost at the top of the stairs in the Dream Castle and asks you to investigate.

You find the specter in the Dream Castle. But it doesn't seem very ghostly...

• Search for the specter in the Dream Castle.
• Talk to the "specter."

Dialogue

PLAYER! Thank goodness you're here! I need your help with a potentially... supernatural matter. I was exploring the Dream Castle looking for hidden rooms and treasure troves when... Bless me bagpipes -- I think I saw a ghost! →  The Dream Castle is haunted? Aye, it's possible! My ancestral home, Castle McDuck, had ghosts and apparitions clear to the rafters! →  You're scaring me! [unknown] →  There's no such thing as ghosts. [unknown] But this specter looked different than any ghost I've seen before. It flickered in and out of sight. Since you're an adventurer like me, I want your second opinion. Could ya go to the Dream Castle and look for the ghost? I last saw it at the very top of the stairs next to the fountain!

Scrooge will ask you to investigate the Dream Castle at the fountain on the top of the stairs.

Go there to find the "ghost," and talk to her.

Finally! Somebody's here! Wait! Wait! I've been rehearsing for this moment... Greetings! I an Vanellope von Schweetz, princess and president of Sugar Rush, and Slaughter Race driver extraordinaire! Soooo... Who're you? And what's this freakishly sparkling place? player I'm PLAYER, and this is Dreamlight Valley. →  How come you're here? Technically, I'm not here. I don't think I'm ANYWHERE, actually. Or I'm everywhere... That's the thing -- I don't know! →  Are you okay? [unknown] →  So you're NOT a ghost? [unknown] Normally I have complete control over my glitch. But one day, POW! I glitched onto this freaky network I've never seen before. Now I'm stuck. I have no control, and I don't know why! →  Magic and technology don't always mix. player Maybe the Dreamlight Magic here is messing with your glitch? →  That sounds kind of scary.. [unknown] Ugh. Why am I not surprised that a placed called "Dreamlight Alley" is lousy with magic?! player There's got to be some way I can help you. Well, do you have one of those do-hickeys where you talk into it and it takes pictures? 'Cause I have an idea. player Do you mean a phone...? Yeah, that's it! I'm seeing a lot of photos being shared on the network I'm stuck in... If you try taking a picture and sharing it on the network, maybe we can see what it's all about. But hey, leave the Castle and take a picture of something awesome, will ya? Show me what I'm missing! C'mon! You can't say no to this face. Look how adorable I am!
