Between a Skull Rock and a Hard Place is a Story Quest which can be started after completing the quest The Dark Castle.

It begins after collecting the Orb of Unity from the Dark Castle and placing it into the Pillar of Unity. After inserting it inside, the quest will start and some symbols will appear around the pillar.

There is a short cutscene after completing the first objective, where the Skull Rock shakes, a rumble can be heard and a cloud of dust appears.

Upon cleansing the Pillar of Unity on Skull Rock island, you notice some magic that seems to resonate around it.

• Uncover the mystery of the Pillar of Unity on Skull Rock island.
• Talk to Merlin.

Puzzle Solution

The symbols around the Pillar of Unity match the other pillars.

Using furniture mode, move the restored pillars so they are placed on their respective color & symbol. There are seven in total which must be moved and placed.

Starting from the position closest to the raft and moving clockwise, the Pillar order is as follows:

• Pillar of Friendship (Peaceful Meadow)
• Pillar of Trust (Glade of Trust)
• Pillar of Nurturing (Sunlit Plateau)
• Pillar of Remembrance (Forgotten Lands)
• Pillar of Love (Frosted Heights)
• Pillar of Courage (Forest of Valor)
• Pillar of Power (Dazzle Beach)

Notes

The player can talk to Merlin to inform him about what happened in Skull Rock island before completing the first objective, but it does not have any real use and the player can skip it entirely.
