The Wanderer of the Dunes is a Eternity Isle Story Quest available from Gaston.

The quest is only available to players who have purchased the expansion pack A Rift in Time. It begins after speaking to Gaston after first encountering him in The Plains area of the Glittering Dunes on Eternity Isle. It is the first quest in a chain of three to unlock Gaston. It is followed by the quest The Wild Tangle's Swarm.

This quest requires using 4,000 Mist to clear the passageway to The Wastes area of the Glittering Dunes on Eternity Isle.

Quest Text

Jafar mentioned someone in the Glittering Dunes could help you out.

Jafar sent you to find Gaston in the desert, but when you arrived he was trapped, starving and dehydrated!

While searching the capital of Gastonia, you've managed to find what looks like an arts and crafts kit! Who does it belong to? Why is it near Gaston's camp?

Your search for the vault key has only turned up a LeFou made of coconuts. Gaston must have gotten quite lonely! The Scarab piece still remains missing and must be somewhere in the Dunes...

The mystery of Coconut LeFou has been solved and the missing Scarab piece located... but how is Gaston dealing with this revelation?

Objectives

• Gaston is clearly dehydrated. Find what he's looking for around the Glittering Dunes:

• Green Spiky-Leafed Plant? (3).
• Flexing Spider-like Thing? (1).
• Sweet Brown Raisin Things? (4).

• Bring Gaston the food he requested.
• Follow Gaston to his encampment.
• Talk to Gaston.
• Look around the camp for clues to the vault key's whereabouts.
• Make sure your Inventory includes:

• Paint.
• Glue.
• Coconut Husks.

• Show Gaston what you found.
• Unlock access to the Wastes.

• (Search for Mist with your Hourglass, or access the Dreamlight menu and investigate your new Mist Duties by pressing Esc.)

• Meet up with Gaston at his Shipwreck in the Wastes.
• Search for the vault key in the Wastes -- maybe it fell in the quicksand.
• You found a LeFou... made of coconuts? Ask Gaston about your disturbing discovery.
• Search for the Desert Scarab Piece in the Plains using the Hourglass.
• Talk to Jafar at a Hologram Station.
• Check on Gaston and "LeFou."
